This is our minumum to maximum height range for tagging in the field before we cut(will loose a half inch to an inch after the tree is cut)
For a :
A 5′-6′ has a minimum of 5′ to top whorl(where the top of the tree starts). The maximum for a 5’-6’ on the 6 size is 5’11” to top whorl. This would mean that the height of the total tree including the 1 foot top would be 6” minimum to a 7′ maximum.
A 6′-7′ has a minimum 6′ to top whorl. The maximum for a 6’-7’ on the 7’ side is a maximum of 6′ 8″ to top whorl. This would mean that the height of the total tree including 1 foot of top would be a’ minimum of 7′ to a maximum of 7”7″. We are essential selling a six and a half foot to seven foot size in the 6’-7’ category to make sure that the customer is always looking into a tree not a top if they are 6’4” in height or under.
A 7′-8′ has a minimum of 6′8″ to the top whorl(add 4” on the top to get to 7’). The Maximum for a 7′-8’ on the 8’ side(top height in range) is a 7’7” to top whorl. This would mean that the height of the total tree including a 1 foot top would be 8’8” minimum to a 7” maximum. This is a little bit different sizing with the minimum being 3 inches less than the 6-7 where we feel it is important for the customer not to be looking into a top.
8′-9′ is minimum of 7′8″ to top whorl to maximum of 8′7″ to top whorl. Total tree height including one foot of top would be a minimum of 8’8” to a maximum of 9’7”. Remember these are in the field measurements actually delivered tree measurements will be decreased by a maximum of one inch.
